The day she arrived-she still has this bed-but of course she NEVER sleeps in it,  it is a good place to go chew bones, hide treats, and send Elmo to "Time-Out".

4 mo old-"Killing the Mousie"  She still has this very mouse 7 years later, he is a member of the family just like "Elmo" and "Bunny".

 Crystal is now a  5 ½ pound bundle of charismatic energy.  We call her the CEO and "Head of Operations".    She is nicknamed the "manure chewer extraordinaire", as she keeps pretty busy in the barn while we clean stalls.

Crystal feels it is her duty to rid the world of varmints...so here she is telling the Raccoon to GET OUT!  He was too scared to move....so continued to chow down on the cat food while listening to, but not really hearing Crystals protests.  We also have a visiting possum who is also VERY scared of Crystal! :o)

Crystal on Porch Patrol May 6th 2005

Crystal's regular feed-time barn patrol seemed to stray one night.   Crystal assures us that she did not get into the vegetable oil in the horse's feed. "I was not in the horse's oil bucket, and I resent your accusation!"  (her face tells a different story!)

Elmo is her best friend and she tears up the halls in the house with him dangling precariously from her jaws.  She loves “Elmie”.   Many an evening she can be found chasing the cats with Elmo, just so the cat knows it's two against one!! 

She goes to all the shows with us if possible, when she can’t go she stays with Heidi's mom ("Grammie").

Crystal also rides along whenever we hitch to practice here at home. She is the “Ruler of the Roost” and if we leave without her she gets very very upset.

Crystal does not have much use for Nellie or any puppies she may have.  As the puppies are whelped in the barn she gets very put out to have to be in the same area as them.   Since she needs to "supervise" barn chores and the pups are also "helping" it is usually pretty busy in the barn and Crystal is not at all impressed by 9 puppies tagging around after her, or us!  Crystal was very happy when we told her Nellie wouldn't be having any more puppies.  Just like Forrest Gump she thought...."Well Good, one less thing to worry about!"
