uterine culture certificate before any semen shipments are made.
3. Breeding Dates: PVP's breeding season for transported semen begins January 1 and ends
July 30th The mare owner will have the sole responsibility of determining the optimal breeding
dates for the mare within these dates. PVP and MVVH will arrange to collect, analyze, package,
and ship sufficient chilled semen for one breeding cycle to meet the mare owner's breeding
schedule providing at least 24 hours notice is given before collection.
If 24 hours notice is not given, PVP and MVVH will try to meet the needs of the mare owner,
but will not be held responsible for failure to do so. PVP reserves the right to charge an
additional collection fee if proper notice is not given. Owner or agent needs to notify MVVH
by 9:00 a.m. central time by telephone on the day of shipment to confirm that shipment is to
be made.

additional $10.00 shipping for Saturday delivery. Shipping costs shall be paid by the mare owner.
This contract includes one (1) semen collection and shipping in the booking fee. Should
subsequent collections be necessary to get the mare in foal, a fee of $120.00 per collection
and shipping will apply.
5. Semen Delivery: PVP, MVVH, employees or agents are not responsible for any delays or
failures in semen delivery outside of their immediate control. The mare owner accepts and
assumes the risks of delayed or lost shipments, although PVP and MVVH will do everything
in their power to assist the mare owner in completing the shipment.
The Equitainer must be returned in usable condition within 4 days to MVVH. If the
Equitainer is not returned within 4 days, a $25.00 per day Rental Fee will be charged until
the Equitainer is returned. If the Equitainer is not returned within 7 days, there will be no
further shipments of semen, the breeders certificate will not be signed, and the mare owner
will be charged $300.00 for the cost of the Equitainer.

is strongly recommended. If the container is returned to MVVH in damaged condition, or is
lost, the repair/replacement cost will be the responsibility of the mare owner.
If the semen is shipped via a disposable container, the container must be returned in useable
condition within 7 days or the owner will be charged for the disposable container.

procedure. A certificate of insemination is included with each shipment.

the shipment of any semen. Mare owner will be billed for any additional collection and
shipping fees, by PVP when business is completed and all containers are returned.
Payment is to be received by PVP within 30 days of receipt of the bill. Breeders certificate
will not be signed until all fees have been paid and all insemination reports have been returned.
We cannot complete stallion reports until we have all this information!
8. Care of Mare: Mare owner will ensure that the mare is properly cared for and will receive all
necessary deworming, vaccinations (including Rhino vaccination at 5, 7, and 9, months of
gestation), and veterinary care during pregnancy.
Failure to comply will void Live Foal Guarantee.

breeding season, and collections have been made, the mare owner will have the option of
return privileges on said mare during the next breeding season only, for an additional booking
fee of $150.00, and all expenses.
* A live foal is defined as a foal, which stands and nurses without assistance for
48 hours after birth. A veterinarian’s statement confirming loss of the foal is required
for return privilege to be honored..
If the mare is sold during the breeding season and is not in foal, PVP will not be
obligated to breed the mare for the new owner and the contract is terminated.
10. Stallion: If the stallion dies or otherwise becomes unfit for service before the first delivery
of semen, then this contract terminates automatically upon notice to the mare owner without
liability, and all prepaid fees and charges shall be refunded to mare owner in full.
If this happens after the first collection and shipment of semen and the mare becomes
pregnant the terms of this contract will be fulfilled. If the mare is not impregnated
the $500.00 stud fee will be refunded.
11. Right of Refusal: PVP reserves the right to refuse service to any mare or cancel this
agreement with no notice, and without recourse to mare owner if said mare is a
